I loved the 3 week painting class. I have done very little painting and had wanted to do more, and this class taught me so much. Michelle is a great teacher. My painting turned out much better than I had hoped, especially compared to the few other times I had tried painting in the past. Michelle was much better at explaining how to paint different parts of the horse I was painting, how to add color and depth to the painting, and telling and showing me how to improve my painting.
I also really enjoyed visiting the Shalom wildlife sanctuary again and taking photos of the animals. It was very hard to chose one to paint -- there are so many beautiful animals. I wound up choosing the horse because I loved his personality and how excited he got for the apples I gave him.
The Art class was wonderful, our instructors were knowledgeable and patient with all the students. They brought out samples of their artwork and they've received all beautiful. It was a fun, creative learning experience.
I don’t really have any painting experience. I thought it might just be fun to go in with no expectations experience or agenda. I learned a lot without feeling stressed out or under any kind of pressure. As a newbie, other people had been painting longer and were more advanced. That really didn’t seem to matter. The information was great, and everybody worked at their comfort level and pace . The instructors were knowledgeable and available. I would’ve liked to have had four instead of three classes so that I could finish the project completely but worth the cost. I will sign up for future classes.
